This is a really nice set of cards that are great for encouraging reasoning skills, empathy and understanding in younger children. The cards pose scenarios or questions such as “How do you recognise that someone needs help?” or “How can a superhero encourage themselves?” These kind of open questions are great for developing tactics for empathy and emotional literacy – describing how things feel, how we can help and when we need to ask for help. I ordered these for my daughter to use in her Year 5 classroom – I think these will be great as quick prompts and question posers that can help to fill transition times. Brightly coloured and with child friendly illustrations, I think these are a great way of encouraging empathy. (originally reviewed on Amazon)

These a fab cards for children to help learn their emotions using a topic that they would relate to and engage with.

They take children through very simple steps as to how to regulate and understand their feelings and also simple tasks like how would it feel if…. Or what do you think a superhero would do in x situation.

Great conversation starters and really simple to use. (originally reviewed on Amazon)

I thought I’d give these a go with my kiddos aged 6 and 8, I like the idea behind it – helping kids to practice their mindfulness skills. There are lots of thought provoking ideas on the cards that really helped my kids to slow down and think outside the box.

My only criticism is that my 6 year old struggled to read the font used on the cards, my 8 year old was fine. I understand that the font is in keeping with the design theme of the cards but for some reason my 6 year just looked at it and thought I’m not even going to try and read it, which was a shame.

Other than I really like this pack and would recommend it to parents. (originally reviewed on Amazon)

Love this little pack of cards and they are brilliant for using at home or in a group activity for kids.

My kids do a yoga class which involves a lot of wellbeing and mindfulness activities and this set of cards is absolutely perfect for that so we will be doing a superhero themed day at the class soon to use them.

They would also be ideal to use in schools for all primary school aged children or maybe even with some of the older kids in a nursery too.

The cards are good quality and the themes and activities on the cards are easy to understand, even for younger kids. (originally reviewed on Amazon)

  5. Mum of a toddler (verified owner)

These cards are great as they contain open ended questions that promote a growth mindset in children. So by asking questions like what would a superhero do when he needs help? Children are encouraged to be resourceful and ask for help from others. It teaches emphaty, kindness and it also helps children to value the process rather the end result only.

As a teacher, I love these cards! (originally reviewed on Amazon)
