Dear life,

sometimes I don’t like you very much. I think you’re cruel and unfair. But then there are times, when you show me something so beautiful that it simply takes my breath away. And between these two opposites – there you are. Between the cruelty and the beauty lies the dirt and the magic. They coexist simply because they couldn’t exist without each other. Together they make up you – life!

I might be stubborn and fight you at times, but I promise to try to trust you more. Whatever experience you choose to throw in front of me, I will trust that I am ready to handle it. Whatever truth you will decide to reveal about myself, I will trust that I am ready face it. I will do the best I can, and the rest I will leave for you. (Thankfully, I don’t need to handle everything on my own!)

We won’t meet each other in the past or in the future. You summon me to be here, TODAY. Thank you for doing that, since I tend to roam around in my thoughts and be anywhere else than where you are.

I also thank you for making me fully human, for having the ability to feel and observe you inside of me and everywhere around me. This journey of life is unique, and I wish to journey it to the best of my abilities. So, at the end of this journey I can sigh with satisfaction and say: I have lived.
